Spanboot: how to hide the e-mail address

Spambot is a program developed to collect from the Internet a large number of e-mail addresses in order to achieve address lists for the transmission of unwanted messages, also known as spam.

Spambot is a particular type of web crawlers able to collect e-mail addresses from Web sites, newsgroups, from the post of the discussion groups and chat-room conversations.

an effective method is to mask your e-mail address converting the letters into ASCII characters, for example:

instead of:

< a href=”mailto:i@my.it”>write me<a/>

you can write:

< a hreh=mailto:&#105;&#064;&#109;&#121;&#046;&#105;&#116>write me</a>
